How to play God Simulator

You play as the “God” of a new religion, starting from an initial country. The goal is to popularize and develop a global religion beyond atheism.

  • Choose a religious Archetype: Options include: Monotheism, Spiritualism, Pantheon, Shamanism, Paganism, each with its own characteristics, such as stability, slow-fast development, fanaticism...
  • Planning and upgrading: Use faith or prayer bubbles from followers to buy religious upgrades such as temples, preachers, forced conversions, shelters, etc.
  • Manage the world: Move to different cultural regions and periods (Ancient, Medieval, modern).

Time passes quickly: in the game, each real second is equivalent to approximately two years, which puts pressure on you to act swiftly.

Tips and Tricks

Choose your starting country carefully

  • Tip: Start in a country with a high population, stable income, and few other religions, and you will be able to expand more easily.
  • For example: Avoid starting in a place with high "resistance to change" or political instability—increasing the risk of early collapse.

Don't be too fanatical too early

  • When you activate Fanaticism too early, it can easily cause a negative reaction from society.
  • Tip: Only use Fanaticism when the number of believers is large enough and the belief system is "stable."

Develop horizontally before going deep

  • Inference: The game rewards early geographical expansion (many countries), then increases the depth of belief.
  • Strategy: Expand the global number of believers first, then invest in deep teachings and strong miracles.

Adapt to the cultural region

  • Each region has different characteristics (rich, poor, individualistic, spiritual...).
  • Trick: Buy traits that are appropriate for that region—for example, "Charity + Simplicity" in a poor region or "Science-friendly theology" in a developed region.

Always have spare points to handle crises

  • Random events like “Scandal,” “Split,” or “Science Attack” can happen unexpectedly.
  • Tip: Don’t spend all your prayer points—keep 10–15% to handle incidents as they occur.
