BFDIA 5b is a unique platform-puzzle game, serving as a direct sequel to BFDIA 5a in the Battle for Dream Island series. Instead of a typical object show episode, BFDIA 5b transforms the story into a complete game, where players must explore the interior of Evil Leafy – a bizarre, dark, and challenging space.
Players begin with Book, suffering from amnesia and unaware of his predicament. From there, the journey to rescue the FreeSmart team members begins, traversing dozens of levels filled with traps, strange mechanics, and a creepy feel unlike any previous BFDIA episode.

How to Play BFDIA 5b
BFDIA 5b is a puzzle platform game with over 50 levels, in which:
- Players control the character's movement, jumping, and interaction using the keyboard.
- Each level features obstacles such as wind, platforms, switches, wooden boxes, and falling traps.
- Wind Tokens appear scattered, often placed in hard-to-reach locations.
- Players must use barrels, Companion Cubes, switches, and environmental elements to open paths to the exit.
- Later, you won't be playing a single character but must coordinate multiple characters like Book, Match, Pencil, etc., to complete the level.
- Some levels require all characters to escape simultaneously; if even one is missing, the level cannot be completed.
BFDIA 5b Tips
- Each character has a different physique: some are small enough to squeeze through narrow gaps, while others are tall and may get stuck on the ceiling, which forces you to rethink your entire solution.
- Death is a puzzle-solving mechanism: Characters can be sacrificed to activate the mechanism, then revived using the Hand-Powered Recovery Center (HPRC).
- The HPRC is a tool and an object: it can be thrown, propped up, or used to activate the revive. Using it wrong will trap you in a level.
- Wind Token is designed to lure players: It's not mandatory but is often placed in extremely dangerous locations, easily causing players to reset repeatedly.
- The atmosphere is unusually creepy: Although it's a game based on a humorous object show, the music, setting, and solitude of Book give it a feel similar to EXE games or creepypasta.
BFDIA 5b is proof that a seemingly playful animated series can still create a creative, challenging, and very serious puzzle game. The game tests reflexes and forces players to think logically, coordinate characters, and accept sacrifices to progress.
