Breaking the Bank is the first installment in PuffballsUnited’s popular stickman game series, where you play as Henry Stickmin and try to break into a bank in the middle of the desert in a variety of ways. Despite being the shortest game in the series, Breaking the Bank still sets the stage for all the sequels with its absurd comedy, many interactive options, and entertaining bad endings.

How to Play Breaking the Bank

Players simply choose one of the methods to break into the bank—each choice will lead to a short cutscene with different results. The options include

  • Shovel – dig an underground tunnel but are prone to failure.
  • Explosives—place explosives right in front of the bank, and you know what happens.
  • Laser Drill – drill through walls but the security system can counterattack.
  • Wrecking Ball—use a construction site-style wrecking ball.
  • Teleporter – futuristic teleportation technology but has a very high failure rate.
  • Disguise—disguise yourself as a bag of money to be taken straight to the vault.

Each choice is a short, satirical animation, with the ending usually being a failure—except for Disguise, which is considered the correct choice in the main storyline.

Style and Experience

  • The gameplay is entirely point-and-click, requiring no reflexes.
  • The entire game takes place through illogical but meme-filled situations.
  • There is no countdown timer—you can freely choose to see all the endings.

The game is short and suitable for a few minutes of entertainment, but it also serves as an important piece that unlocks later parts like Escaping the Prison or Stealing the Diamond.

  • Interactive comedy lovers.
  • Those who want to play from the first part to understand the entire Henry Stickmin timeline.
