Duke Dashington Remastered is a complete remake of the challenging action platformer released in 2014. Players will play as Duke Dashington—a brave treasure hunter—racing against time to escape collapsing dungeons while overcoming dangerous obstacles and solving tricky puzzles to conquer each level.

Duke Dashington Remastered gameplay
You will run quickly through small levels with many diverse challenges. Duke can dash (sprint) left, right or up (but to dash up, you must touch the ground first). When dashing in one direction, you cannot stop halfway; if you dash into a spike, you will immediately fail. Each level you only have 10 seconds to complete; if you don't make it in time, the room will collapse.
This style of play is very rare, bringing an extremely tense and attractive feeling, adding a unique appeal to the game. During your journey, you will encounter various obstacles such as spikes, breakable blocks, chainsaws, moving platforms, spears, fast-flowing water, rotating spike balls, fire from the ground, falling crystals, mine carts, and special platforms that can flip when dashed into.
Locations and levels
The game has 5 areas to explore; each area has 30 levels:
- Temple of Napm—ancient jungle
- Lost Pyramid
- Underwater city of Atlantis
- Mount Hades—active volcano
- Crystal Cavern
Each area has its own characteristics in terms of graphics, atmosphere and challenges, of which Crystal Cavern is considered the most beautiful and difficult area to play, especially with sophisticated puzzles using the pushable mine cart mechanism.
Puzzles and Challenges in Duke Dashington Remastered
The puzzles are cleverly designed, with the right difficulty level to keep players challenged but not too frustrated to find a solution. The game allows you to experiment with different approaches, and the feeling of solving a puzzle is always satisfying.
The Crystal Cavern area in particular stands out for its deep puzzles that require a lot of trial and error, making it the most rewarding experience in the game.
Difficulty
The difficulty in Duke Dashington Remastered is well balanced. The Napm Temple area acts as a tutorial to help you get used to the game mechanics while still providing a moderate challenge, not too easy or too hard. Gradually, the game increases the difficulty with each level, introducing new obstacles and puzzles.
Graphics and Sound in Duke Dashington Remastered
The game uses simple pixel art graphics, not too outstanding but enough to create an attractive look reminiscent of classic SNES games, with more modern technology. The music is not too outstanding, but there are some catchy and suitable tracks for each area, such as Temple of Napm, Lost Pyramid, Atlantis, Crystal Cavern and especially Mount Hades, with the melody expressing the fierceness of the volcano.
Duke Dashington Remastered is a simple but extremely fun platformer, offering fast, tense gameplay with attractive and fair puzzles. The game is suitable for those who like a gentle intellectual challenge, require good reflexes and want to experience the thrill of racing against time in each compact level.
