Flipping Master is a strategic and reflex-based arcade runner game where diagonal movement is crucial for survival. You control a character that constantly flips across narrow squares, avoiding traps and defeating enemies to maintain your dwindling health bar. The game doesn't allow you to stand still or hesitate, and every move must be calculated in advance.

How to Play Flipping Master

The character moves on a terrain consisting of 3 infinitely extending columns, divided into individual squares.

  • A: Flip diagonally to the left
  • D: Flip diagonally to the right
  • S: Move back one square (consumes energy)
  • Space: Dash forward 3 squares, automatically destroying enemies in your path (has a cooldown)

The health bar constantly decreases over time, forcing the player to land precisely on enemies to regain health. Besides squares containing gold and treasure chests, the map is full of spikes, volcanic ash, and deadly traps that can end the game immediately if you make a wrong move.

Gameplay Tips

  • Prioritize healing over gold: Enemies are your lifeline. Gold is only useful if you survive long enough to use it.
  • Control the diagonal flipping rhythm: Don't spam the keys. Maintaining a steady rhythm helps you read the map patterns more accurately and avoid panic.
  • Use the S key at the right time: Moving back one square is very useful when you misjudge a move, but since it consumes energy, only use it when absolutely necessary.
  • Use Space to escape, not to show off damage: Dashing forward 3 squares is powerful, but it should be saved for situations where you're cornered or trapped.
  • Utilize the map wrapping mechanism: On the outermost columns, you can flip to the opposite column, opening up many unexpected escape routes.

Flipping Master is a small game that demands big thinking. It punishes greed, rewards composure, and ensures that every playthrough ends with a clear lesson. If you're already comfortable mastering diagonal flips and want to push your movement skills to a more challenging environment, EParkour is a worthwhile next challenge to try.
