Pokepath TD is a tower defense game inspired by Pokémon, where you use your team 's Pokémon to defend routes against waves of enemies. The game doesn't focus on quick reflexes but rather on placement, upgrades, and strategic thinking. The longer you play, the more you'll see how every small decision significantly impacts the outcome of each wave.

Maps and Enemy Paths
Most maps in Pokepath TD are designed with winding, S-shaped paths, that surround areas like lakes or large open spaces. This zigzag pattern isn't just for decoration; it's designed to extend the enemies' travel time, giving your Pokémon more opportunities to inflict damage.
In the early waves, enemies are usually familiar Pokémon like Rattata or Zubat, moving in a steady line along the path. But as the game progresses, the number and difficulty of enemies increase significantly, forcing you to rethink your troop placement.
Pokémon Placement Strategy
The game limits you to a maximum of 10 active Pokémon at a time, so haphazard placement will only make things harder. Convex curves, especially those near lakes, are often considered prime locations because Pokémon can hit enemies both before and after they turn.
Before each wave, you should pay attention to the type of enemies that will appear. For example, Zubat flies faster and is more annoying than Rattata, so your team composition needs to be adjusted accordingly. Changing Pokémon before a wave is just as important as upgrading them.
Pokepath TD Upgrades
You start with $50, which sounds like a lot, but it runs out rapidly if you're not careful. Buying new Pokémon from the Shop helps diversify your team, but the price increases with each purchase, so you can't just spam purchases.
Instead of placing many weak Pokémon, Pokepath TD encourages you to upgrade and evolve them. When Pokémon level up and evolve, they become stronger and unlock new skills, helping your team survive the more difficult waves later on.
Game Progress and Saving
A pleasant feature is that the game automatically saves when you complete a wave or change maps. If you find a route too difficult, you can easily switch to another map to train your Pokémon and then return without losing your progress. Unused Pokémon are stored in the Box, so you can try many different team compositions without worrying about wasting your efforts.
Pokepath TD focuses on long-term strategy, experimenting with team compositions, and the feeling of nurturing your team to win. You can play another game, like Animal Craft, and return to this one later, as it saves your progress.
